Dammit, I have always been a HUGE fan of Anonymous…..but this is over the top. how can we be sure this is the ‘real’ anonymous, as opposed to someone just calling themselves that? Wonder who got the phone calls? I would think the real anonymous would at least get your info right. There is no ‘real Anonymous’. It’s not a cohesive group, there are no members, or leadership, no hierarchy. It’s just an idea and a name that random people on the internet adopt when they want to strike fear, and want to do so, gee, I don’t know, anonymously.
If you’ve been paying attention, all the things done by people and groups claiming to be Anonymous are so random, disjointed, and politically all over the place that there is no way there could possibly be a core group with an sort of coherent mission. Don’t elevate as heros fighting against censorship people bearing the same label as those who embedded siezure inducing animated gifs and flash animations in posts on an epilepsy forum. Anonymous is not a hacker group, it’s a group-think phenomenon that’s gained a life of its own. It is s lie told often enough that people believe it is the truth.
Not to mention that such base and brute-force techniques as dumping information found through google, and DDoSing the occasional website does not a hacker make. My fellow commenters, stop giving these attention seeking brats what they want by buying in to the idea that such a group really exists in any meaningful way, and that they are big shot hackers. The only power they have is not hacking, it’s the idea of themselves that they spread as they convince people they really are some elite shadow-force of hacktivists.
JB, keep it up and don’t back down to any group that tries to shut themselves up, no matter who they’re pretending they are.

I don’t think ‘Anonymous’ exists in any meaningful sense of the word. It’s just a moniker used by miscellaneous cyber-terrorists in order to pretend they are part of ‘something bigger.’ Not worth worrying over; no more worth acknowledging than a swarm of gnats.
