Anonymous is dead. It was taken over years ago. All it took was a few losers (paid for by government and corporate interests) to start calling themselves Anonymous then the legit Anon distanced themselves and now the movement is a bunch of manginas and whiny bitches controlled by the same forces the original Anonymous tried to fight.
The idea of Anonymous was brilliant but the execution sadly failed.

Just to add…
‘V for Vendetta’, inspiration for the group Anonymous. I hated that film. It was absolutely painful. I’d heard it tauted in reviews as a ‘cerebral movie’. I must disagree. Intelligent films play on subtlety. That one hits you over the head repeatedly and relentlessly with gratuitous cliches. I found myself able to predict what would happen next based on the cliches that hadn’t been thrown in yet. The only thing missing was Bush (I mean, the leader in the film) hanging Gandhi on a pike…just out of meanness, er, I mean power, I guess.
I actually turned the video off about an hour and a half into it after (CAUTION! SPOILER!) one of the characters was killed for owning a Koran. It was just too much…literally, I moaned out loud (my husband was already asleep). The next day, I played the rest of it while he was at the pool with the kids just to see if I was missing something. He came home, saw me, and the expression on his face catching me watching it a second time was the shock one might expect from finding me in ‘flagrante delicto’ with the gardener, or doing a line of coke on the living room table.

I merely think that posting deliberately controversial material online, then going “Waaaaahhh people are criticising what I write because it’s controversial” is a bit ridiculous.

The real Anonymous would have wiped this blog off the face of the earth. But the real Anonymous is not in the habit of censoring opinions they don’t agree with, to my understanding.
They investigate things like defence contractors and illegal news sourcing, and in doing so provide a pretty important social service.
Hacking tiny little blogs doesn’t seem to be their thing.

I can vouch for that, as a guy who disagrees with JB regularly and sometimes strongly, and then has had her come over and “like” the posted critique.
