Facebook, which already polices and censors images of illegal activities like breastfeeding and child pornography has now decided that posting anything that dares to question feminism constitutes hate speech and will be removed from the site.

206403-facebook-banned

https://www.facebook.com/groups/BreastfeedingIsNotObscene/

From their statement:

https://www.facebook.com/notes/facebook-safety/controversial-harmful-and-hateful-speech-on-facebook/574430655911054

Recently there has been some attention given to Facebook’s content policy. The current concern, voiced by Women, Action and The Media, The Everyday Sexism Project, and the coalition they represent, has focused on content that targets women with images and content that threatens or incites gender-based violence or hate.

Facebook is not the first internet organization to decide that questioning feminism constitutes hate speech. Symantec blocks sites that are critical of feminism and that openly support boys and men, including sites whose purpose is to assist boys and men who have been the victim of sexual assault!

http://www.avoiceformen.com/mens-rights/open-letter-to-symantecnortono2-on-censorship/

Obviously, JudgyBitch is on the list of banned sites.  Paul Elam at Voice for Men has some serious concerns about Facebook’s decision to cave in to a small but vocal minority of radical feminists attempting to create a new world order in which women can never be criticized for anything ever.

http://www.avoiceformen.com/mens-rights/its-on/

What is happening, and it is going to happen more swiftly than you can imagine, is that just as we have seen in academia, in the military, in many workplaces and more recently in the secular community, feminists are using whatever tools are at their disposal to ensure that their narrative is the only one allowed.

Let’s take a look at what that narrative is, in a little more detail.  We’ll keep the feminist focus on gender based violence and hate.  Let’s go for a little swim through the underbelly of Facebook.  Just to be clear, nothing you are about to see or read will be prohibited under the new Facebook policy.

I’m sticking mostly to images here, as they tell the story quite beautifully, and quite frankly, reading the quotes was making me a little ill. Ready?

Let’s start with single mothers.

Owl Laugh Hahaha - No

You know why this whole shitstorm doesn’t really bother me all that much?

Young people are abandoning Facebook in droves.  Their minds cannot be reached by the radicals who wish to dictate what they may and may not think.  The oldies have taken over, and the kids don’t want to be friends with the “get off my lawn brigade”.

lawn

http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidmartin/2011/06/16/one-simple-rule-why-teens-are-fleeing-facebook/

This week’s Economist has a story about the emergence of liberalism in Britain’s youth population, but they use the word differently than North Americans do.  Liberalism is not being liberal in the sense of being extremely accommodating and generous with state monies.

Liberalism in the British sense means personal freedom, rule of law, active but accountable government, free but responsible markets, mutual toleration and equal concern for all.

smith

http://www.economist.com/node/13055964

And it is the younger generation that is liberal.

Polling by YouGov shows that those aged 18 to 24 are more likely than older people to consider social problems the responsibility of individuals rather than government. They are deficit hawks. They care about the environment, but are also keen on commerce: more supportive of the privatisation of utilities, more likely to reject government attempts to ban branding on cigarette packets and more likely to agree that Tesco, Britain’s supermarket giant, “has only become so large by offering customers what they want”.

http://www.economist.com/news/britain/21578666-britains-youth-are-not-just-more-liberal-their-elders-they-are-also-more-liberal-any

As has always been the case, the young have different beliefs than the older generation, but they are less likely to go to the polls to express those beliefs in a concrete way.  That will change as they get older.  And they are a voting block to be reckoned with.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_turnout

Barack Obama would not have been elected in 2008 except for his ability to mobilize that youth block. In the 2012 election, young republicans headed to the polls to try and defeat him.  The state of nations will come increasingly to depend on those young voters.

http://www.policymic.com/articles/12948/obama-youth-vote-2012-surprising-poll-finds-40-percent-of-young-people-flock-to-romney

And those voters are precisely the ones who couldn’t give a rat’s ass about Facebook.  The young don’t like being told what to think and what they are allowed to read or see, especially not by ideologues who have been a key part of why they face hardships their own parents did not.

Facebook is nailing its own coffin shut by further alienating the young in service to rabid feminism.

Good.

The day Facebook dies is the day I’ll bake a divorce cake.  We’ll cut Facebook’s head off.  And enjoy every minute of it.

The cognitive dissonance on that “deadbeat dad” page is staggering. One part over-the-top celebration of the awesomeness of single moms and one part disparagement of fathers in general coupled with lust for their cash.

Yeah, dad’s you are worthless scum that suck ass and deserve to be killed, but send us cash. (How they’re going to send cash when dead, we’ll figure out later; maybe mandatory life insurance policies–wait, I don’t want to give them any ideas.)

In the face of a growing backlash, feminism can only survive by dismissing and silencing any other narrative. Evolutionary psychology is a rather new field of study, but is already showing promising results with testable theories and studies. But it is dismissed out of hand as nonsense and bullshit by feminists; they absolutely cannot afford to engage in even a discussion about it–and they vehemently won’t–lest it receive any iota of credibility. They know that such a field of study is a death-knell for feminism.

Here’s a comment I lifted from another blog:

nearly the entire field is pure fabrication, most of which has no purpose other than to biologically essentialize gendered social constructs (and in doing so it is, in its present incarnation, an anti-feminist project)

. See? It can’t be real or true because it disproves a core pillar of feminist theory, QED. The worst part: that comment was written by a man.

It’s going to get worse. Feminism will not go quietly…

I use FB mainly for hosting my many photo albums and pictures for friends and family, both here and overseas. It would suck to leave but i’ve already made peace with the fact that if FB continues to block information that counters feminist lies, i will vote with my feet and close down my account.

It’s time to take a closer look at Google+ anyways. I don’t need hundreds of fairweather friends.. only the ones that truly matter.

The funny thing is, FB was never in any danger of losing it’s audience due to a few vulgar offensive pages (which everyone had to tolerate) because for the most part, it is women that drive the need for social media and built an economy model out of it. Did FB seriously think women would leave en masse if it didn’t capitulate?

Rather now, they will see a real exodus of users (mostly the straggling males) who have grown tired of this shit. There’s already a drop in membership as users flock to Twitter. Prepare to see Twitter, Tumblr and WordPress get assaulted by the same feminist cunt patrol that went after FB.

It ain’t over by a long shot. But if they come after WordPress, there will be an awakening the likes of which has never been witnessed!

As I stated over at AVFM, I now fully realize why I’ve always despised Facebook and refuse to have anything to do with it. I despise social media in general, these apparently being mostly the province of BS-spewing adultolescents who, for reasons known only to themselves and other brain stem-driven human beings, think that the rest of the world gives a pile of dried dog shit about the most intricate and private details of their lives. I’ve always thought that a more appropriate name for FB would be TMI.

All of the above said, and even considering all of the well-justified outrage over FB’s patronizing heavy-handedness, here’s a thought: let the market do its magic. Should FB continue to disrespect and offend a sizable number of its customers, it will suffer accordingly. I have no doubt that there is some entrepreneur out there just waiting for FB to make the ultimate boneheaded move in terms of alienating its customer base, at which point said entrepreneur will launch a competing site that welcomes viewpoints and opinions of EVERYBODY – with a TOS clause that essentially warns potential customers to “grow a thick skin or take your business elsewhere.”

If such a SM site were to launch, I just might be persuaded to set up an account there.

Not only are they another prime target within the crosshairs of the Feministablishment, they’ve also caved in to the warrantless Stasi Polizeistaat demands for user account data on demand. Any IT services provider that caves so quickly to unlawful government demands is one that anyone who respects freedom should want as little to do with as possible.

If evolution is the accepted theory for the diversity of species, then you have to accept some pretty politically incorrect ideas along with it. One is that since evolution works on the brain, and given that men and women have been under different evolutionary pressures since the dawn of humanity, that quantifiable biological differences between a man and woman’s brain HAVE TO exist.

The discussion is not whether men and women are different, but rather in which ways they are different.

Where feminism goes off the rail is in their inability to understand that “different” does not mean “less” or “more,” and does not necessarily preclude equal”

Censorship against anti-feminist stuff never factors into it, so they won’t know that’s going to be a cost. And they won’t know about the violence-against-men double standard, either.

While security by obscurity isn’t secure, you can avoid the hassles of drive-by attacks by using an unpopular platform. The scatter-gun attacks will go after WordPress, not UserLand Frontier, and not after modern frameworks like Django which are hardened against attack.

Consider learning how to use Django, and rather than using a CMS you use a CMS *framework* such as Mezzanine (an excellent product). You can vary the details of the implementation and inspect/control every step in the process. Rather than a product, you have an excellent toolchest and rulebook which you can modify as you wish.

This is unlikely to become a popular way to publish, because it depends on learning how the damn thing works. Most people are too intellectually slothful to enjoy that.

While to an extent that constitutes STO, it also enables more efficient use of computing resources and lets you better control/restrict the resources you use, thus closing up a lot of wholes that Gates & Gang, along with software vendors who cater to their OS, bundle reflexively into their expensive and buggy bloatware.
