What’s good for the goose makes the gander cry

Edited to add the BBC radio interview is  here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0239kql

Hey remember when this meme was doing the rounds? Feminists would post it any time a man would point out that men suffer in our society, too.

male-tears

This one was popular, too.

male tears 2

and this one.

male tear 3

And who can forget Chanty Binx aka Big Red singing Cry Me A River in response to the trivial  and totally hilarious issue of male suicide?

Seems like the popularity of the #womenagainstfeminism hashtag on Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook has caught a lot of feminists off guard, and they are now reacting furiously to women who like to think for themselves with a lot of nu-uh you dumb bitch, you don’t know what feminism IS! Read the dictionary you stupid dumb cunts! Go fuck a goat in traffic!

Yeah, someone really did tweet that last one.

goat

Here is my response. Feel free to make it yours, too.

tears

My radio interview with the BBC will be here at 10:30AM GMT.

Monday at 12:10PM I will be on CNN’s sister network HLN to discuss the #womenagainstfeminism phenomenon, and I suspect it’s gonna make feminists cry even harder.

feminists

Aww. That’s too bad, isn’t it?

Payback has arrived, bitches! All the feminist tears in the world won’t stop us.

Lots of love,

JB

Well done! While some men in the Manosphere criticize female MRAs or even female anti-feminists, I would say that you reach a far greater audience and are taken way more seriously by the media due to the fact that you are women.

It is truly a fucked-up system, where those for whom feminists supposedly speak have to oppose the movement vehemently. What is next? Gays who speak out against the LBGT-agenda that is increasingly favoring and promoting non-heterosexual lifestyle as superior?

I’m not sure it will ever be necessary, but if it is I stand ready.

I interpreted it as: he’s gay, and totally really to speak out against bullshittery.

I’m right there with ya, bud.

I mean that within the activist LGBT community there is a growing tendency to adopt the same kind of solipsistic, navel gazing, perpetual imagined victim hood that feminism currently embraces; and if it ever becomes the norm for the LGBT community to tilt-at-windmills and invent imaginary villains, while screaming “homophobia”, “Baker v. Nelson”, “AIDS”, “Westboro” or any other stand in, deserving or not, for real historical oppression, violence or bigotry, that I as a gay man, will be among the first to stand up and tell the LGBT community that ignorant intolerance is not the solution to, and not needed in dealing with diversity you dislike. I mean that I will be to the LGBT community what Janet, Karen, Allison and all of the other fMRA’s and Women against Feminism are to bad idea feminism. I’m already standing up against bad, but well meaning ideas like ENDA’s and treating wedding service vendors as public accommodations, as well as battling the shrill and angry word policing and hetshaming, that the more emboldened and obnoxious LGBT activists are engaging in.

Thank you, however you may want to read my response to javaloco before you commit to my side, I may be more skeptical of the current LGBT community then you are.

Partly it is already becoming a problem with the pre-mature hypersexualization of children. 8-year-old boy going on hormonal treatments sanctioned by the state while being raised by two lesbian women?

Apart from that there is likely a bigger problem with some lesbian psychopaths who also happen to be men-hating feminists and in positions of power. Many of those are in high government positions and in the CPS.

I have two gay friends, but they are so masculine, that most don’t even know they are gay. They have actually more in common with the male Manosphere-Game-community. And even they report a certain kind of strange pressure by the LGBT-community to behave according to certain norms and thus they usually hang out with heterosexual friends.

There is a lot to unpack and respond to in what you said.

A large percentage of specificaly gay men and lesbian women, claim to have had at the very least inklings of their sexual orientations at particularly young ages, usually 5 but sometimes as young as 3. Taken with the increased visibility of trans kids of about the same age, there are 7 in my nieces school in just the pre-K through 2nd grade classes; as well as openly gay 9 and 10 year olds, I know of at least 2 5th graders at the same school, I think there is a reasonable debate to be had about whether kids are being over-sexualized at a young age or if society has suppressed and shamed youthful presexuality. I don’t have the answer…

However, in an attempt to clarify my position, without coming off as schizophrenic, I agree that individuals or small groups from with in a community who behave badly are fair game for criticism. I would only extend that criticism to the broader community, if they are specificaly endorsing the bad behavior or trying to claim bigotry is motivating the criticism. This is the second time in as many days that I have encountered concerns about radical lesbian parents regendering their son without informed consent, I don’t know if there was a news story, or if this is an urban legend or unjustified anti-lesbian bigotry, but if it is happening most LGBT people including most lesbians, I am confident would condemn it and intervene if possible.

Finally, please be careful when using gender descriptors for LGBT people, on individual basis they may not appreciate what they view as stereotyping. There is a lot of overlapping bagge wrapped up with sexuality and gender identity. I freely admit that over sensitivity is common by LGBT people, but there is good reason for some sensitivity.

I am entertained by the “shut up!” and the “you don’t really understand feminism” responses in the #womenagainstfeminism tag. Feminists are using elementary school level debate tactics. These women expect to be handed the reigns of society while demonstrating the maturity of children. It was a fine demonstration of why feminism needs to be opposed just on the basis that it reduces women’s ability to cope with conflict. You can’t walk into the boardroom and go “WAAAHHH, I DIDN’T GET WHAT I WANT, WAAAHHH!”

Feminists are like Nazis in the 30s-40s who say that real Germans should better study their Aryan literature – they are just misguided when opposing National Socialism.
No – when a doctrine is negative and is mainly based on lies and distortions, then it does not even matter if there came out a few good things out of it (and even that is highly disputable). You cannot really be a good devoted Nazi just as much as you cannot be a “good” feminist vs. a bad feminist. You may be a deluded and indoctrinated feminist, but that is about it – there simply is no “good” feminism just as there is no good Nazism.

That does exist. I’ve met quite a few gay males who think gay culture is harmful and could use some change. Anyone who has a gay friend or family member has almost certainly heard of how open relationships, anonymous sex, and orgies are the norm, as well as rampant drug use. It’s basically modern sex culture on steroids. There are gay men out there who want to see monogomy and relationship permanence as the ideal, but it’s proving to be a hard sell. Even hetero people don’t believe in that anymore.

I fail to see how open relationships, anonymous sex, orgies, and (non-destructive) drug use are an obstacle to living a healthy life and being a good person. 😉

Seriously, though, I know several people who’ve done all of the above, and they’re totally normal in the daytime, and good people. If casual sex isn’t your thing, fine, but it’s a tragic misconception that monogamy is an essential ingredient to morality.

Tyler, there is a point when the open acceptance of extreme behavior does begin having social effects. It has been well-documented that the more partners a woman has before marriage, the (exponentially) greater chances are of a divorces (70% of which are filed for by women). I am not advocating for chastity belts, so don’t go nuts yet . . . all I am saying is this: why would any man with his head on straight risk marrying a woman who will probably leave you? If men do marry them in large numbers, there will be social consequences (large number of broken homes, meddling of the state in the family). If men do not marry and either have higher standards or go MGTOW, then there will also be social consequences.

Social norms are not about individuals. They are about society.
