Do video games normalize women using men as target practice or is Anita Sarkeesian just full of shit?

This video is a hilarious encapsulation of just how blind and obsessively self-involved modern feminists have become.

Enjoy!!

I can’t believe this is still a question, she’s full of shit. That doesn’t come from a place of misogyny either, she’s just full of shit.

Oh, utterly brilliant 🙂 Thank you for sharing this, I think I will send it to a few people who will enjoy the irony.

So, which cop-out do you think Anita Sarkeesian would offer for how the attached video is wrong despite using her own so-called arguments? That it’s “obvious” that movies are different (when they can’t be used to support her points), or that the very fact that this video is yet another example of anti-feminist mentality?

    Thank you for this post!

But….. why do people watch her? Why do they give her money? People can’t seriously be that stupid can they? Sexualising women turns them into disposable objects???? SEXUALISING WOMEN TURNS THEM INTO DISPOSABLE OBJECTS!!!! Why yes I often kill women and throw them away after I’ve had sex with them.

Women should be feminazis and men should be male chauvinist pigs. That is fair and natural.
Expecting women to be pro male anti feminist is quite deluded, fom men. My opinion.
The same when women expect men to be feminist. They say they lke it but at the end of the day they deeply hate it.
To me, an anti feminist woman, is kind of decaffeined (and hidden agenda, maybe) I love literal feminazis like Diana Mitford.

I do not try to change the demonic nature of women, and I do not expect any other one from them. And, at the same time, I do not want to pay for their shit, except puntual payment in case of hookers. I guess it means I am a pro feminist male chauvinist pig.

Hot women (not average) have the mark of Satan and that is sexy.
I guess Eve was pretty hot. And Adam was a boring pussybeggar.

Ah, feminists, when their arguments prove hollow, they just play the “But women just hurt more, so shut up” card… I love all the people who totally ignore the critique and go straight to “But violence against women”…

With all the hospitalisations for concussions from random and personal physical violence I’ve received, my memory may well be somewhat faulty, but… I don’t recall seeing that many chicks in the ICU when I was in there… Well, there were a lot of nurses, but you get me, right?

Why is it that female spanners need to look all shiny and nice with flowers on them, while male spanners are gray and chromy and used for loosening bolts?

Such an awesome parody of Anita.

I am shocked that she got so many purple poodles and white knights… oh wait she is pretty, and telling boys what to do… of course men will throw them selves at the sword for her.

You don’t have to sexualise spanners. Spanners are already disposable, inanimate objects, and hence are already things you have sex with. Women aren’t inanimate objects so you have to sexualise them first so as to turn them into inanimate objects before you can have sex with them. That’s how male sexuality works.
Now excuse me whilst I have some stereotypical British sex with a teacup.
It’s no wonder many feminists hate men if they believe this crap.

Man, I’m so getting over “white knight” as some sort of insult/putdown. It’s an evolutionary imperative we happen to see past. They’re normal, for want of a better word. The fact that the bulk of humanity do what we can predict they’ll do isn’t something we should insult…

Way to mix your stereotypes man…

Daily mail readers are the closest things on Earth you’ll find to Feminist definitions of men… True working class yobbos who only stop beating their family members when there’s brown people to punch. For up-tight Protestant snobbery, you’d need a paper that had legible headlines, rather than the sort of buzzword-salad that makes Buzzfeed editors blush…

TL;DR: Stereotypes are only ever really funny if you have some sort of understanding of the subject material, which is why Yanks are so bad at insulting foreigners.

All you manage to do is make humorous stereotypes out of yourselves.

I think I can explain Sarkeesian with a bit of analogy. For example, for 50 years in the UK, there have been several railways, centres and living museums that dedicate themselves to steam traction. Not many female takers at first: ‘boys and their toys’ seems to be the most common although fortunately, there are women and girls who take active interest in running this heritage. Same with video games. The sarkeesians of the past ignored VGs because they thought that they were ‘boys and their toys’ and the sarkeesians were above that. As a result, gaming became more male oriented. Not chauvinism, but commerce. Not misogyny, marketing. Obviously, the male game creaters would not be the people to represent and market to women, especially if there was no perceivable market (although that’s changing, and there are a good few women gamers out there).

Now however, the sarkeesians are jealous. They see the mostly male-attracting pasttime and spuriously call it a ‘boys club’ because why else would there be more boys than girls in it? So they begin making cling-film thin nonsense as reasons why they are being discriminated against. Most of it is such trite garbage, it can be disarmed so easily, I won’t bother. Others do it far better than me.

As the bard said; ‘Beware the green-eyed monster for it doth mock the meat it feeds on.’

Why is it that most of the Western world doesn’t realize that the Sexual Objectification Myth was the brain-turd of a radical lesbian-separatist in the 1970’s?

More importantly, why has the western world unquestionably swallowed that stink-log for forty years without asking themselves “How can a lesbian separatist be qualified as an expert on male sexuality? How can her opinion on the matter NOT be biased and inherently negative?”

I’m a nice enough person to not actively ascribe intent, but surely a “theory” that happens to have the direct result of expanding your own dating pool fails to pass the conflict of interest hurdle…

Even homophobic religious zealots who try to get people to “pray the gay away” aren’t getting any benefit from their stupidity…

So, how is it something so inherently stupid is more accepted? Easy: It came in a package deal. Feminism = equality, so ergo any disagreement is your own internalised patriarchal voice shaming women, or some other silliness.

Honestly, if Feminism was truly representative of all women, one could make the argument for it being proof that women are less intelligent than men. Luckily, it’s not the case, and a lot of those who do follow it follow purely due to fear and social pressure. This is why we come across so many who insist that Feminism isn’t about whatever we’re pointing out is stupid. They say that because they have to, like a good Catholic saying “The priesthood isn’t about fucking small children”…

And the “TL;DR” counter-argument is that in my experience foreigners are not only bad but hilariously bad at stereotyping/insulting Americans.

So in a way, I guess you guys ARE funny!

    Sorry, had to say it.

So, if by “You guys” you mean foreigners in general, then okay, but if you meant Brits in particular, you shot way, way north of my country there, mate :p

Oh, and as for being bad at insulting Americans, well, the trick is to at least get a sense of what area they live in. Pacific Northwest, Midwest, Deep South, etc, then work stereotypes from there. The problem most Americans have with insulting foreigners is to assume that the foreign country is far more homogenous than their own, which is a bit silly, really. In England alone, you only have to walk for 20 minutes to come across a completely different accent, with it’s own stereotypes, insults, enemies and football team.

So, yeah, that first jab sounded kind of like poking fun at Okies for all being gay democrat second-amendment crazies who live in the mountains and fuck their cousins.

It’s amazing what blatant ignorance does for an intended insult. Ask Rebecca Watson sometime :p

Re-read, mal… “More homogenous than” is distinct from “Is homogenous”… Let’s try phrases like “More left wing than the Tea Party”, “More reasonable than Feminism”, “More prone to immediately understanding relatively simple sentences than an American”… You get the idea now?

Exactly. The thing is, in England and Britain in general, these areas are about 16 square feet, rather than three states wide… What they lack in landmass, they make up for in history. Shit, people are resurrecting Cornish, because there are still records of it, audio records of a language inside England other than English. Not to mention just how many people speak English with such an accent even the people from the next town over can’t understand a word of it…

JB, looking at the “Kill Bill” clips reminded me: I’d like your take on the “Kill Bill” movies. One of the reasons I love them (besides their being, “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” as done by a collaboration between the directors of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and a Road Runner cartoon), is David Carradine’s performance in the final confrontation. When he laughs, “Honestly, was my reaction that surprising?” I feel like he’s standing up for Fathers everywhere.
