It always amuses and amazes me …..the extent to which feminism treats women like imbeciles and idiots, while claiming to be advancing the rights of women. The right to what? Sippy cups and snack bags of Cheerios?

The concept of microaggressions encourages women to think that every single thing in the world is, or should be, about them. It encourages breathless levels of narcissism, solipsism and just plain delusion. You know who else thinks that everything in the world is about them? Two-year-olds. Feminism encourages women to believe that they have the same reasoning and coping abilities as toddlers. No thanks.

That was really good. You nailed it. Micro-aggression gave me a good chuckle, too. What the heck is this micro-aggression thing? Oh, it’s the kind of oppression that’s so hard to see you need a microscope and a PhD to find it.
Feminism really is bad for women. It’s amusing, but it’s kind of atrocious, too. They’ve got us all hiding in a stair well armed with a handy list of rape prevention tips, looking over our shoulder for any signs of micro-aggression. Of course on the flip side, we’re also all taking pole dancing classes, practicing sexual empowerfullness, and feeling pressured to enter into career fields that don’t really interest us.

I just want to add to your points about STEM fields.
As a software developer, I am in a field where the smartest, most dedicated, and hardest working people tend to receive the bulk of the rewards. People who coast along generally stay in the same posit ion with minimal raises until they are enevitably laid off.
To get more women in STEM fields (in a meaningful way) you have to make more women passionate about science and technology, not simply increase the number of women in the field. The underlying question that should be asked of educated feminists is “Why didn’t you study in a STEM field?”

There is a great documentary from Norway which explains, with facts and scientifical evidences, confronting scientists to feminists, why most of women don’t want to work in STEM, even in the most gender issue sensitive country in the world (Norway was, during years, the kingdom of gender equality programs).
I don’t know if JB already saw it, but it’s the perfect proof of what she wrote, that men and women have natural needs. And the harder you try to ignore these needs, the stronger they come back.

Just as a role playing exercise, allow me to give their likely answer….
My middle school science teacher was a misogynistic ass, who said I had no future in science and women should be barefoot and pregnant in the kichen.
We can neither prove nor disprove such a claim, however I’d wager their is a fair probability that the discussion really went something more like this….
Teacher: You’re a smart kid, but you aren’t applying yourself, you really need to work harder in this class.
Feminist: I don’t care about science it’s boring and stupid and has no bearing on my life, when am I ever going to need it?
T: Probably anytime you want to apply for a decent paying job which will allow you the freedom to be a contributing member of society and enjoy a solidly middle class lifestyle.
F: Oh please, I’m gonna be the next Angelina Jolie, I’m a size 0, leggy blond bombshell that rocks an EE cup, until I get my big break stupid boys buy and give me everything I want, in return for empty promises I never have to fulfill.
T: Well that’s certainly a recipe for ending up a tired single mother, working the third shift at Dennys. You have more potential than that, and you ought to be smart enough to know, you aren’t the only hot cock tease, who wants to be the next big Hollywood ingenue, probably not even the only one who will by in your graduating class. I’m sorry but until you start working to your potential, I’m going to have to fail you. Also we’ll be having this conversation again this afternoon with your parents and the principal, you might want to leave out the part about supporting yourself as a slutty cock tease.

The idea of microaggressions is essential to perpetuating–in the teeth of statistics overwhelmingly to the contrary–the myth that women more than men are the victims of violent crime.
As it became ever more evident to voters, to politicians, and even to coffeeshop feminists that men were the primary victims of violence new theoretical support had to be developed by academic feminists to buttress the idea that women needed special protection under law. After all, it’s unseemly and downright insupportable to claim that your lot needs special protections when you’re actually safer than even children. Hence microaggressions, which cannot be measured, but can be claimed to be nearly infinite in number.
The concept of microaggressions encourages women to think that every single thing in the world is, or should be, about them.
As such it does indeed play nicely into feminism’s fundamental own-group narcissism.

It was not my intent to suggest that this was a relationship worthy person, rather to describe the likely interaction which caused the future feminist to believe science is inherently misogynistic. Truth to tell I went overboard, it was unnecessary to make her a slutty cock tease or so disrespectful to her teacher. The core of the conversation I described is something most upper grade teachers are very familiar with; a student of any demographic characteristics isn’t working to their potential and doesn’t want to be pushed, or perhaps more frustrating an entitled student who believes mediocre work deserves better than mediocre grades. I come from a generation where kids had been shielded from negative consequences at an early age, and struggled to accept the change when they were no longer shielded, so I remember being exasperated by class mates who bad mouthed teachers that were “mean” or “tough” and didn’t let BS fly and this happened to both boys and girls. Anyway it isn’t much of a stretch to imagine that a person who thinks they were denigrated by a teacher, was actually asked to work harder or get more help or something.
Also as an aside the unworthy girl I invented is worse than you think, it wasn’t a high school student but a middle school student. My understanding is that current thinking claims the bottle neck for loss of interest in math and science happens in middle school, when students are first exposed to topics where not every answer is right, and there is no “A” for effort. So I put the student in middle school, because that’s where problems start.

Of all these, the yes means yes thing is the most dangerous. Partly because it’s not really true. Feminists are pushing the line that at any time a woman regrets sex she’s had, it then becomes rape after the fact. There is in fact no such thing as yes.
The danger is in creating a generation of men who no longer care if what they are doing qualifies as rape because it’s all rape.
This is why it’s so important for the law to understand the difference between rape and morning after regrets.
Although I AM DYING to see a man try to file charges under the “yes means yes” law to prove that the law is, in fact, gender discriminating.
But this is one of the side effects of the “personal is political” philosophy. That is to say bring the government into your personal relationships so that nothing is ever just between two people.

With respect JB, I think you may have your cause and effect the wrong way round here. Feminism doesn’t encourage women to act like spoiled children, but women who act like spoiled children cause feminism. Let me share with you an anecdote of sorts:
Years before I ever discovered girlwriteswhat’s youtube channel and was hence introduced to the MRA and general “anti-feminism” viewpoints, I saw a video on I think MTV;
In the video, a young girl was given a brand new sports car for her 16th birthday by her father. However, it was the wrong color or the wrong brand (I think it was the wrong color). Cue the crying, and having a massive go at her father. She more than once said “it’s not fair”, and she accused her father of “not loving her”, I even think she accused him of “hating her”. All because the sports car she was given for her 16th birthday was not the right sports car. I knew this behavior seemed awfully familiar to me from somewhere, of course we all know where. The worst part was that she totally had her rich dad wrapped round her little finger. He apologized, got defensive when she accuse him of not loving her – “I do love you honey” – and in the end, cave in and bought her a 2nd car. Obviously, just replace rich dad with the government and presto! Feminism.
