Officer JudgyBitch hunts down a potentially dangerous woman

[Updated to add: have received the picture taken 2013. Thank you.]

Sage Gerard aka Victor Zen is a man I consider both a personal friend and a colleague. He is the Director for Collegiate Activism at A Voice for Men and he initiated a men’s group and a men’s issues conference at his home school, Kennesaw State University. Sage is witty, a master of deadpan delivery, an outstanding student and a determined and steady advocate for the rights of men on college campuses.

This pisses the Women’s Studies crowd off enormously. Which is fine. Be pissed off. That is your right. What kinds of outrageous demands is Sage making? Well, for one, he would like the Women’s Resource and Interpersonal Violence Center changed into simply the Interpersonal Violence Center to reflect the fact that interpersonal violence is dynamic with men and women equally likely to be both victims are perpetrators.

Yes, Sage has made a despicable request that school services, paid for in part by student’s tuition fees, reflect the practice of equality. Sage would like to see both men and women acknowledged as equally worthy of care and consideration.

Obviously, Sage is a misogynist.

This is the stance taken by the Co-ordinator of the Gender and Women’s Studies program at KSU. Her name is Stacy Keltner. Were Stacy simply satisfied with calling Sage a misogynist and denouncing him, there would be no issue.

She is not satisfied with that.

Stacy, a professor with real power over students, even students not her own, has decided she will make Sage pay for his difference of opinion. You can read the longer version of the story here, but essentially Stacy called the cops on Sage,  claiming she feared for her safety. This is based on, and I kid you not, her belief that Sage fantasizes about hurting women. How in the hell she figures she knows what Sage fantasizes about is beyond me. Who wants to bet this chick has multiple copies of 50 Shades of Grey stashed around her house. What do you fantasize about Stacy?

Even this, as ridiculous as it is, is not what prompted this post. Stacy requested a police escort from her office, damseling and weeping all over the place about her two year old daughter, and she got the escort. The police report was dismissed as utter garbage, which it was.

But…

Sage’s professor caught wind of the story and asked Sage if it was true that a professor needed a bodyguard owing to Sage’s threats against her. This is not at all funny and can have a serious, serious impact on Sage’s future studies and career. Sage’s supervisor knows him personally and cared enough to ask for details. Most people won’t. They will assume where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

Here is the big kicker. Sage has never met this woman, and has no idea what she looks like. He has never even seen a photograph of her. Her next logical step is to accuse Sage of assaulting her, and without knowing what she looks like, Sage will have no idea when he is potentially interacting or in the same vicinity as her. The police report describes her as 39 yrs old, 5’1, 105 lbs and blonde. Thin, short and blonde. That describes a fair number of people.

report

This is where I come in. I think it is vital that Sage at least know what she looks like. Using publicly available information, I set out to find a picture of Stacy Keltner. I have not hacked into any source, I have not used private information, I have not gone behind any paywalls to obtain this information. This is Google and putting the puzzles pieces together, and that is all.

A simple text search reveals something very interesting. Stacy was at graduate school the same time as Hillary Johnson, a woman who was brutally murdered in a random attack by a deranged psychopath who received the death sentence for her murder. Stacy and Hillary were friends. Further investigation reveals that Hillary had fought with a friend before she was murdered, and the relationship was never repaired. The friend was left to grieve and to live with the knowledge that her last words to her friend were unkind. Stacy is quoted in the newspaper article, but she is not the friend who testified at the trial. The entire faculty is described as being traumatized and in shock at the murder.

Is Stacy the friend who was mean to Hillary before she died?

I know there are several psychologists and a psychiatrist who read this blog, and I invite you to comment on this traumatic event in Stacy’s life. Could it explain her hysteria over the perceived threat from Sage? And more importantly, where is this likely to lead? Any speculations would be most welcome.

I came across a funeral notice in which Stacy was mentioned. She even commented, giving me the names of her husband, her parents, her children and much of her extended family. I searched down each one, and all of her colleagues to see if anyone of them had an image of Stacy on their social media. I saw many children, lots of wedding parties and newborn babies, picnics and trips abroad, but none had an image that matched the description of Stacy and none were tagged with her name. I searched through all of their followers to see if Stacy had social media accounts under a different name. I found her son’s Instagram account and searched his followers to see if Mom was keeping tabs on his activities.

She is not.

A curious oversight for a woman who seems deeply paranoid at best.

I then went into her academic career and I found this editor’s introduction written in 2011 about a new society formed by feminist philosophers called PhiloSOPHIA. Stacy appears to have gone on a mountain getaway in Monteagle, Tennessee to help create this society, which led to a journal of the same name. Using only Google and select keywords, I came across this image, taken in 2009.

stacey

The woman in the coral shirt caught my attention immediately. I decided to try and identify the other women and see if I could place them as colleagues of Stacy. I am extremely confident the woman in the plaid flannel shirt standing beside Stacy is this woman:
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Her name is Kelly Oliver, and she is Women’s Studies professor at Vanderbilt University and on the Executive Committee of PhiloSOPHIA.

EXEC

The editor’s introduction mentions her as the person extending the invitation, along with Stacy to discuss the project. The other blonde woman right in front of Stacy is likely this woman, although I am not as confident. Opinions most welcome.

Katherine Loevy

Her name is Katherine Loevy, and she is also from Vanderbilt University. Also on the Executive Committee for PhiloSOPHIA. The woman with short dark hair appears to be this woman.

sarah hansen

Again, I’m not 100% confident and I welcome your comments. Her name is Sarah Hansen. Here is another image of her for comparison.

sarah2

Her CV is available on line and she was a teaching assistant at Vanderbilt from 2008-2010. Exactly the right time frame.

The woman most likely taking the picture is either Emily Miller or Emily Zakin. I was not able to identify the two younger women down front, but for me, the evidence is pretty overwhelming.

The woman in the coral shirt is Stacy Keltner.

I have forwarded this image to Sage, but I am still concerned because one of her Rate My Professor comments describes her as looking like “Kristen Bell.”

kristen rmf

Kristen Bell looks like this:

kristen

Stacy’s hair could be significantly longer or styled very differently at this point. Sage needs to know what she looks like now. I am asking readers to see if they can dig deeper into the legal internet and find an image – just an image – of Stacy, which I will forward to Sage.

To address those who would accuse me of “doxxing” Stacy, I will reply right now. Nonsense. Everything I have discovered is in the public domain. I did not reveal her children’s names or her entire extended family. She did that. I merely found it. Her colleagues and friends and family who have public Facebook and social media pages chose their own privacy settings. I did not sneak behind anyone’s settings.

This is about Sage and his personal safety. Given Stacy’s traumatic past, and her focus on amplified, exaggerated and dangerous masculinity, I am worried for Sage’s safety. If she truly suffers from the delusion that Sage is a danger, she herself could end up very dangerous. Sage needs, at the very least, the ability to identify Stacy Keltner in a crowd of people.

Finding this one image, which I only think is Stacy, on the balance of probability, is a start. We can do more.

Anyone who discovers a more recent image of Stacy Keltner, please email it to me at queendairymaid@gmail.com and I will forward it to Sage.

Lots of love,

JB

It is curious that someone who has risen to such a position doesn’t have a publically available image.
I would strongly urge Sage to keep a log of his whereabouts to answer false allegations. Having company around might be a good idea too.

The police report she states she saw videos, blogs, and online cartoons, and based on THOSE, she believes he harbors fantasies of murdering or harming women. It didn’t say where she saw or read said videos, cartoons, or blogs, but, it’s clear from the police report, she didn’t just randomly decide he suffered with delusions or fantasies to harm women.

    Why mislead your readers?

Right. It has nothing to do with him being affiliated with AVfM. Have you seen Sage’s videos? There is nothing even faintly suggestive of him wishing to murder women. It’s beyond ridiculous. Pure hysteria. His chalk drawing on the sidewalk was visible to campus police, and they had no issues with it. It said “men’s rights conference rsvp ksum.” Not exactly a death threat.

Unless those Videos, blogs and online cartoons had Sage advocating violence against women or saying he fantasies about harming women than she did randomly decide that he suffered with delusions. Remember the police looked into it and decided to do nothing. It’s a pretty big stretch to say JB’s article was misleading, to be honest your comment is more misleading than anything JB wrote.

No, I haven’t seen his videos. I was just commenting on the suggesting that she had conjured up her belief out of thin air that he was violent toward women and had fantasies of harming them.

But, after reading the report, I saw that she believed that based on videos she had seen, or blogs she had read, or cartoons she had viewed.

This woman is unquestionably a danger to men on campus and needs to be held to account for this, but the most prominent thing you’ve proved here is that her fears have substance.

I’ve seen videos of David Letterman. If I posited that Letterman fantasizes about murdering children, does the fact that I have seen videos make my assertion somehow more credible? Or is it still just as much a fantasy as if I had never seen Letterman videos?

Oh, right, Sage is an MRA, which means, in your mind, that the default assumption is that he wants to murder women, and if he makes videos, surely they are about murdering women., and the onus is somehow on everyone else to prove that he isn’t all about murdering women. That about sum up your position?

Default stance: he wants to murder women, anyone who’s seen his videos may just as well conclude that. It is up to him to demonstrate that none of these videos have anything to do with murdering women. Hey, maybe he criticized feminism in some of these videos; well, I’m sure that amounts to wanting to murder women in some social sciencey sense of the word.

I’d say either you have a severe bias, or a poor understanding of how logic operates.

An honest question: can a woman’s fear be so irrational and unjustified that it will be acknowledged as unfounded and delusional? Is fear in a woman, by definition, considered justified, to those of certain ideological persuasions?

Because if this woman is assumed to be any way grounded in her fear of this man, and he is required to explain himself because of it, what would she have to be afraid of for people to dismiss it as absurd? Aliens, perhaps? Is a human male really so fearsome a creature that one has to prove that one is not a threat to women not to be automatically suspect? And what better proof could one have than having never done anyone harm whatsoever?

David Letterman is a comedian. You’re comparing apples to oranges. But, that’s not even my point.

I was merely pointing out that from reading JB’s post, she *suggested* that the professor just randomly, out of thin air, with no reason whatsoever made assumptions about the guy in question. Perhaps that is not what she meant to do, but that’s how it read.

But, after reading the police report, I saw that she had watched videos, etc. That is why she drew her conclusions. It wasn’t an arbitrary, random belief based in fantasy.

That’s all I was saying. Nothing more. Nothing less.

She did make assumptions about the guy out of thin air. The videos in remote way suggest what she is claiming about him. Are saying that her seeing his videos and knowing who he is somehow makes it less ‘out of thin air’? A paranoiac always finds the object of their paranoia through some medium, usually not just a random name picked from the phonebook.

I think it’s save to say that it was assumed that this woman knew of him, and was motivated by, her knowledge of him as an MRA. Whether she knew of him through the videos or the posters is quite redundant, as none of them reinforces her delusions in the least. So why would they particularly be relevant to said delusions?

You’re creating a false dichotomy here. Just because she saw videos and comics written by him doesn’t mean her belief wasn’t random and based on fantasy.

If her conclusions have little to no relation to things Sage has written it doesn’t make a lick of difference what she’s seen by him. It’s still a fantasy.

You know Jacob, in your first paragraph could easily replace JB with this Stacy person. This is exactly what she did to Sage (and remember, as a poor student, he is basically powerless against them – literally David and Goliath in the sphere of academia). Are those close to Sage supposed to “turn the other cheek” and leave Stacy alone to confirm, in her mind, that there are no consequences for her actions? At least she may learn a little something from all of this and be more careful in the future before going on a mission to potentially ruin someone’s life.

Reminds me why I jumped the social science ship for the sciences. Makes me apprehensive about the thought of a career in academia; might be able to keep myself confined to the medical school but still, potentially being on committees with these professional proselytes for lunacy is worrisome. One hears the work anti-intellectualism a lot, and I think people like this are anti-intellectuals par excellence. This episode is appalling, but instructive about the fundamental mindset of feminists, which will be their downfall, so there is an upside here.

That a 40-year-old professor, not to mention her department head, have concocted–and it definitely is a concocted act–a scenario to attack and harm a student (talk about power differentials!) does speak to a real fear, just not the fear she claims or would ever admit to.

It’s the fear of exposure, similar to the famed Peter Principle. Feminism and feminists, as we all know, cannot accept any form of disagreement or criticism for fear that it will disrupt their “narrative” which is the only thing they have. The narrative is vulnerable to truth, facts, and logic, so those, and the people who use those powerful tools, must be stamped out at all costs. The police, of course, don’t follow the narrative, so knew that her claims were complete bullshit, but handled the bullshit very well. The university didn’t do quite as well; they cleared Sage, but still restricted his contacts and movements on campus. It’s indicative that the institution will protect the bullshitters, but in light of public opinion, can’t go overboard.

The good news, as I see it, is that by resorting to these high-handed and clearly BS tactics, feminists only expose their weak underbelly. Which is why it’s vital that people like JB and AVfM, and Sage, continue to transparently and calmly expose them. The are indeed vulnerable, and they know it.

JB has already addressed any claims of doxxing. Sorry, but Keltner is a public figure whose info is also public. Any claim that just posting about the issue and Keltner’s public info is somehow damaging to her, well, that’s on Keltner. Actions have consequences and people will discuss it. Sage knows this and acts accordingly. Keltner thinks that consequences don’t apply to her. She’s hopefully learning differently. That doesn’t mean that anyone should harass or target her and her family. That shouldn’t happen. But her cowardly actions against Sage should to my mind have professional consequences. I doubt they will, but they should.

For the love of God, Keltner, you’re a grown woman and faculty member (albeit in a completely bullshit field of perpetual victimization studies). Act your age and don’t target a student. You’re a coward…

Given that Sage has never met the woman, never even interacted with her, never specifically targeted her (he doesn’t know what she even looks like, for fuck’s sake!) then JB is 100% correct in saying her assumptions about him being a danger are pulled out of thin air. Having viewed his videos makes absolutely no difference here, this professor 100% pulled these accusations out of her ass, based only on HER paranoid fantasies. She might have viewed the videos, but she has completely distorted their meaning in her head and twisted them into something ugly, to allow herself to play the victim card and destroy someone whose ideology she disagrees with. There are no excuses for this, no justification, nothing that can make this woman look reasonable. It’s Sage now, but if she’s allowed to get away with targeting men on campus, it’ll be someone else soon.

It tells us everything of course, that you’re happy to credit entirely unsupported assertions pointing to no actual evidence we can examine made by someone you’ve never met and know almost nothing about.

It’s as if someone stated that, based on posts of yours they’ve seen, they believed you advocated child molestation, and I decided to give credence to that assertion here. After all, someone said this, right? Granted, for the sake of this example, it’s someone I know next to nothing about, but that’s your problem, yes? And now it’s out there. Someone believes, based on their examination of the evidence, that “Conservative Girl” advocates child molestation.

Now, imagine that instead of “Conservative Girl” your actual name was being used. How does that feel?

I thought one of the virtues of conservatives was that they hewed closely to actual evidence in arriving at their views. You, girl, are no conservative.

    Entirely correct.

Theirs is a sickening strategy, albeit one that’s wholly predictable. Attack, and when anyone reasonably, nonviolently defends themselves, which Janet is helping Sage do here, claim they’re provoking violence.

It’s bizarre that someone would expect to be taken seriously when they assert, “Wanting to know what the person looks like who is making clearly fraudulent and dangerous claims against Sage is provoking violence against them.”

It would be just a bad joke, if they weren’t trying so hard to be taken seriously with this nonsense. Stacy Keltner has put Sage Gerard in real danger, from her friends, followers and, not least, the police. Sage is more than entitled to the help of his friends in being able to identify the woman who means him harm, and in holding her accountable for her behavior.

Who in their right mind can argue with that?

Getting my Masters in architecture cured me of any interest I had in getting a doctorate. Teaching at the university level cured me of wanting to continue to teach at the university level. While there are a few notable exceptions, most writing on architectural theory tends to make gender studies palaver look profound.

I developed a real fondness for the engineering and structures folks while I was in school. Their need to hew to the actual nature of materials grounded their work in the world of things and forces. The best architects have always been the ones who understand materials. The ones who don’t make unintentional farce.

I’ve done a bit of research myself, and I’m convinced that you have tracked down the right woman. First of all, let me congratulate you on your genius and commitment through which you have accomplished this job. That’s great jb. For a long time people like these have been trying to tarnish the image and destroy lives of those who disagree with them. It’s worthwhile to give them a dose of their own medicine! Although they have back ups, It will be a bit of punishment for the atrocities they have been committing, or in the future wish to commit!!!

Um, no, she does not look like Kristen Bell, but she did get her PhD at a third-tier degree mill — Memphis State. And she appears to need psychiatric care. The flagship state school of higher learning in Tennessee is the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

False allegations and frivolous and malicious restraining orders in Georgia are a big risk indeed. Just google the cases, _Tom Owens v George Chidi_ and _Chan v Ellis_ and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Georgia is a hotbed of abuse where restraining order laws have been maliciously applied to gag innocent speakers exercising legitimate rights of free speech.
