15 Mar

We’re into the end stretch, and I’m playing with science I don’t really understand. Let’s hope I get it reasonably correct.

Well, it sure doesn’t sound to me like you’re just playing around with science! πŸ™‚ This is so cool, and I hope your next installment will arrive soon! πŸ™‚

Hi Janet, I thought you might find this article on Starbucks interesting because you used to work as a barista, and also because The Fitness Test is all about a futuristic society that’s developed into something much more racist and oppressive than anything we can imagine today.

While I agree with the author that it’s asking an awful lot of low wage-earning employees to push them to start conversations on race with the predominantly-wealthy customers that they need to please in order to keep their jobs, I do think we need more open forums where these issues can be freely and respectfully discussed. And I thank you for creating one such forum here. πŸ™‚

It may depend on what the employment situation is like in their area.

I just re-read the end of the chapter and realized that when it comes to opposites attracting, Copernicus and Lowin are opposites in the “opposite” way to most men and women — his intelligence is more emotional and hers is more analytical. Romance can work great for the “outliers” too! πŸ™‚

Excellent! The people who will get to read this as a completed book, and immediately jump from one chapter to the next, are very, very lucky. πŸ™‚
