What feminists would sound like if they were writing about Jews

This one should generate some interesting comments. I took headlines feminists have written about men, and replaced the word “men” with “Jews”.

of course.that’s what critics have been saying about pc rhetoric for 25 yrs. ‘would you dare say these things about any other identity group?’ and their rationalization is always:

    1. It’s different when i do it
    2. Ican explain
    3. Context is everything
    4. This isn’t what it looks like

Liberals told themselves over the 20th century that if hatred of Jews, blacks, gays, the poor and women is unjustified, therefore that which is justified does not constitute hatred.
‘It’s not sexist or hypocritical to say YOU men are the sexists-it’s education, enlightenment, progress-you know, good-to point out evil. and THEM are the evil not US.( at one point in history, therefore forever after).

You’re comparing apples to oranges. Men are a group in power. Jews are not.

A more appropriate substitute would be to replace “men” with “white people”. But of course it’s common knowledge that rich, white men rule the world.

I’m not sure what you’re point is. I think feminists are right that women are victims. Maybe there are exceptions to the rule, but most women are weak, helpless, and submissive.

My only problem with feminism is that they take some of their viewpoints to such extremes. For instance, instead of sending men to jail for rape, I would give them community service or psychological counseling.

Being submissive has absolutely nothing to do with being weak or helpless and it certainly does not make you a victim.

A couple of comments to that.

Actually, the antisemites would claim that Jews are a group in power. Hitler raged against Jewish bankers. Still today, people rage against “the powerful Jewish lobby in the USA”. Equipping the group one hates with power so that one gets to hate the powerful instead of the helpless is an old trick.

In what way am I, as a man, member of a group in power? Yes, most world leaders and industrialists are men, but I have no access to that group. I see no reason to take the blame for the actions of a group I am not part of.

That is one hell of a quote. Rude to men on principle? What principle would that be?

    “Jews are not”. ????

They are not in power in Spain. Not a single Jew here (well. just kind of 2000) since 1492. They were expelled. Thanks YHVH.

I mean, nothing against the Jews: they are brilliant people, and Jewish women are beautiful, and they created porn industry (which I love it) and they are a Mediterranean people just like us, and Jesus was a Jew, etc.

But it seems they become an State inside the State, in every country they settle. And that is a problem.

Correction: 15000 Jwes today in Sefarad (Spain).

It is really nothing comparing to other countries in Europe. Or USA. Or Argentina.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not. I will assume you mean what you say.

If you ask any Palistinian in the middle east who has the power in that sector they will say the Israeli (who are Jews), which JB did mention.
Jews also hold a lot of financial power in the US, and Money = Power.

You only view Jews as not in power because it fits your social justice world view.

And not ALL men are in power, most men aren’t, so why is hate speech against all men okay, when some men have power?

But either way, hate speech towards people in power is okay why?

Lastly being “weak, helpless, and submissive.” doesn’t make you a victim; you only become a victim when others take advantage of your weakness, helplessness or submissiveness. But through history “weak, helpless, and submissive.” gave women lots of privileges (and still do), because society needed to protect and help them. Feminists try to capitalize on this, which is why they constantly play the victim narrative on an endless loop.

On that Lindy West piece, someone makes a point of wishing she had used “any gender” instead of “either gender” because “the binary is a part of patriarchy.” Holy shit, people are just sitting around looking for a single word to jump on and criticize – at least the other-gendered individual ties the quabble back to feminism in some way – thinking there are 2 genders = patriarchy.

The “Fuck Marry Kill” piece is interesting in that it seems like bs that Tyrion would be in the “fuck” category. Particularly given that part of the reason is how much he must have learned from prostitutes.

Lydia in the comments on your piece states that no one is saying to get rid of men. Well what about Hanna Rosin?

I’d have a better time accepting gender as a social construct/multiple gender hypotheses if the people who advocated those things were better at remembering they are distinguishing or at least attempting to distinguish biological sex from this ill-defined concept of gender.

Sorry for the double reply I just finished reading your comment, and noticed the thing about Hanna Rosin. I saw a lecture she did at the Australian Dangerous Ideas conference two or three years ago, where she discussed “The End of Men”, and she made it very clear that her position wasn’t that men are obsolete, but rather we need to work to prevent them from becoming so, that they have an important role to play in society and that it needs to be encouraged.

A sentiment Gandhi would not have and did not approve of. MLK would not have advocated any such nonsense. Just the most grotesque “logic”.

I have just seen the rubber hand experiment on TV. Your hand is hidden behind a curtain and you can see a rubber hand which is stroked in unison with your real hand. Then suddenly a hammer comes out and hits the rubber hand. You feel real pain. All in your head. It occurs to me the “hurts” of feminists” are “rubber hand” hurts. The question is how can anyone know what “micro hurt” is a real hurt. How does anyone know? How would a feminist know? How does a feminist know she is not deluded.
