5 Things Women Do Better Than Men

buzz

I took another shot at Buzzfeed. Hey, why not?

The numbers are in, and the good news is women are better than men! The bad news is – oh my – what exactly are they better at doing?

1. Beat up children According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, women are more likely to abuse children than men. In Australia, “mothers carried out almost 68 per cent of cases of emotional and psychological abuse committed by parents, about 53 per cent of physical abuse and more than 94 per cent of neglect cases.” If you ever find yourself asking why there are so many violent people out there, you might want to start by looking at all those women beating up little children.

Read the rest here and if you like it, hit the WIN button. The reaction buttons are how I get to the mainpage. Long shot, I know.

But you miss every shot you don’t take.

Sorry, your article is really stupid and soooo typical. I fully support men’s rights. Why do some women feel the need to knock women in order to demonstrate their support for men’s rights.

I think you are confusing better and more often. I am not sure what a good metric or definition for being good at beating up, well anyone, would look like, but doing it more frequently doesn’t mean you’re better at it. I guess the best metric I can come up with on the fly is, does the recipients behavior or attitude modify in the way the attacker had intended? Or perhaps did the attacker receive the expected benefits from their action? I would argue that if women are in fact beating up children more, then they are likely failing to meet either of the criteria I just suggested as a better metric for being good at it.

The comments are priceless. I don’t mean the weaseling words that preceded me here, amusing though they are, but on Buzzfeed. “Where did and when did feminists ever say that ‘women have moral superiority’? “

Sometimes people literally beg for schooling.

So something interesting happened when I followed the advice of one Bill Bruce in the comment section of the Buzz Feed article Janet wrote, I didn’t so much find evidence of feminists claiming moral superiority, but rather feminists wringing their hands about how feminism shouldn’t claim moral or any other kind of superiority. It seems it is widely believed even among feminists, that feminists or women claim to be morally superior, but it wasn’t easy to find many instances of them actually doing so. In essence I found Katha Pollit referencing a 1950’s anthropological work by Ashley Montagu “The Natural Superiority of Women” as the only case of a woman/feminist claiming superiority, but Katha herself and several other feminists who then proceed to reference Katha were rejecting the idea that women ought to be viewed as superior.

I get that there are elements of feminism which does some really terrible stuff, that’s why I read Judgybitch.com; I get the argument that feminism isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, even when it isn’t advocating terrible things; I get that feminism in general is dishonest and hypocritical; but given all of that it isn’t necessary to make shit up about it. The argument that’s being presented in the comment section about how and why feminism believes in women’s superiority, doesn’t rely on them saying they do, it relies on them implying it, through both words and actions both of which are open to interpretation.

The immediate hate and savagery in the comments is almost appalling. All you’ve done here is state facts, and the responses….jesus. You’ve deviated from the narrative in a big way here, and I applaud you for it, as much as I shake my head at the people reflexively attacking each other over thoughts and opinions.

Perhaps Janet should give a full explanation of the Valenti thing that got her banned on Twitter so it can be understood by those (me) who are still unsure of the details.

Because any man who dares will be social-media-brigaded directly to hell.

This is on topic for the site but probably off topic for this post. Janet I don’t know if you’ve ever seen this video before but I think you would very much enjoy it. I’ve seen it a couple of times but can never find it when I go looking for it, but it just popped up in my youtube feed again so I figured I’d grab it while it was there and share it now rather then the next time it’s appropriate.

Feminists repeat endlessly that 98%+ of women are incapable of lying about rape. That certainly is a claim to moral superiority. Also statements the because women can’t fight in combat that women do not start wars. Or an article in the Washington Post recently and a proposal in London that women never be sent to prison because regardless of what they have done, regardless of the number of times they have done it, they are soiled doves who just need a little gentle rehabilitation and they will be reformed. That is also a claim to moral superiority.

NOTHING is as feminist as a woman trying, with all the assertiveness and butthurt that she can muster, to insist that “we are not all feminists.”

    Feminism = HATE
To deny being a member of a hate group does not make one a member of that group.

How have we gotten to the point where, for reasons of ideological rhetoric, a large part of the population has become convinced that half the population is immune from the restraints of human nature and morality?

    Great article, Janet!

I once read the following assertions in relation to “deadbeat dads”:

    1. Women are more likely than men to be awarded custody of the children in a divorce.*
    2. Of people awarded custody, women are more likely to be awarded child support than men.
    3. Of people awarded child support, women are more likely to actually get it than men.

*Of course, there’s so much evidence for #1, that it’s practically a given.

I always wanted to research the other two and never had the time. It would be an interesting question to settle once and for all.

You go too far, Janet. You’ve upset feminists! They don’t like it. You should be ashamed. You’ve triggered their triggery parts.
